Finally caught up .. Day 3 .. Time Travel

Today's theme of "time travel" (or "then and now") is all about taking inspiration from a past style or an older item, and bringing it up-to-date for the present. This one was a little hard for me but so fun once I got it togeter ... So I pair a old school jean vet and nerdy glasses with a modern maxi skirt .. what you think?

Last month I participated in a 30 hijabs in 30 days challenge that Beautiful Ummah hosted. It was fun and made me wear hijabs I tend not to wear. What I realized is I have many hijabs that I really like that I didnt wear. So I will be wearing different ones more often.

You walk into the store and you see a scarf or dress in multiple colors. Which color do you choose and why? You can choose based on 3 motivations:

1. I choose because I love the color!
2. I choose because this particular color looks good on me!
3. I choose because this color is in season now and is really trendy!

My Answer:  "I would choose colors that look best on me "  I tend to pick blacks, greys, blues and Creams... I like red, green and pink as well but I dont own much of those colors... I do wear brighter colors in the summer but for all the rest of the seasons it my normal colors.

OOTD Everyday look... Starting a diet... henna

Here's my OOTD this is my everyday look... After examing the pic I realize my pants can be looser, but it one the few jeans that can still fit me. Starting tomorrow I will be on a serious diet( anyone know of any good ones) cause I literally have about 3 pair of jeans that I can fit, which is so sad cause I own about 20 pair of jean if not more..SMH!!! I cant believe how much weight I gain in 6 months.

Anywhoo.. bring on the questions cant wait to start my 20 question video!!!!

Finally Finished my Dress( really shirt)

ASA Sister,

Jummah Mubarak... Do you have any plans this weekend? As for me I will be super busy all weekend. Today I have to take my daughter to the Dr. so she can get a physical to play Lacrosse. She starts practice next week and we are all super excited, cause this will be the first real sport she will be playing. Tomorrow I will be going to a Muslimah Event with the Muslimah Consultation Group this is suppose to be a really big event for Muslimah in ATL, I'm so excited. Sunday My boys have a football game. busy busy busy but I love it!!!

I finally finish my sewing project( well I finished wednesday but didnt take pics until today) that start out as a dress but turned out to be a shirt at the end. I actually like how it came out for my first real sewing project and it something I would wear. I think the leather trim I used gave a little edge, I also rounded the bottom just to give it another look...
